Fees & Expenses
The hirer does not pay
- Superannuation
- Workers' Compensation
- Annual Leave, Sick, Compassionate, Long Service or any other form of Leave
- OAA membership
- Registration in NSW or Victoria
- After-sales email & mail assistance in resubmitting claims
The hirer pays
- Labour
- Accommodation (if not provided)
- Travel from Bendigo, Victoria and return
- Travel required for work including from accommodation to the practice and return
- Registration Fees for jurisdictions outside NSW & Victoria
Labour Fees
- The standard hourly rate is 1.5 times the 10900 Scheduled Fee plus GST for up to two consultations per hour.
- Extra consultations per hour are charged at 0.5 times the 10900 Scheduled Fee plus GST.
- Minimum average 30 hours per Monday to Friday
- Minimum shift is 4 hours
- Saturday work loading is 25% per hour
- Sunday & Public Holiday work loading is 100% per hour
Travel Expenses
- Car usage at 80c per kilometre plus GST whilst ULP remains under $1.60/L,
thereafter add 1c per kilometre plus GST for every 10c/L increase in ULP.
(until 30th June 2010) - Air fares, tolls, punt/ferry, and parking fees etc at cost
- Travel time is not charged to & from Bendigo but travel required for work including between practices is charged at half the hourly rate
Registration Fees
Registration Fees are not charged for Victoria or NSW.
In other states and territories, the first hirer per year pays their state's or territory's registration fee. Subsequent hirers contribute half the registration fee. At the end of the year, surplus registration contributions are remitted back to hirers in proportions such that each hirer ultimately paid the same fee.
Cancellation Fees
Out-of-pocket expenses charged by third parties are invoiced in full. Typically these include accommodation and air fares. A percentage, of booked hours, is charged for cancelled bookings subject to the notice given. The percentage charged is shown below.
- 50% when less than 7 days notice is given
- 25% when 1 to 4 weeks notice is given
- 10% when 5 to 8 weeks notice is given
- Zero when over 8 weeks notice is given
Trading Terms
The Locum will invoice the Practice on a weekly basis or at the conclusion of the assignment, whichever occurs first. Payments in full are due within 7 days of presentation of invoices
Any invoices outstanding beyond 7 days will accrue interest at the rate of 15%pa, calculated on a daily basis from 1 day after the invoice date.
